Summary: Not bad upgrade
Comment: Got this as an upgrade from Nero 7 that I had been using for a long time to remaster my videos, Much nicer features, easy to load, did take a while, (it's a BIG program), works well w/my Windows XP Pro, did not have to
debug, or update anything. Took a while to figure out the menu's Nero changed some of the older programming to make it usable for blu-ray, so trying to find the types of DVD burning I wanted took a bit of trial and error, still, a good deal for the cost, and it does a lot more than older versions.

Comment: In local stores all I could buy was NERO 10 which I am certain is a great product but I wanted NERO9 which had been on my computer but was wiped off due to a virus. I searched on Amazon and found what I truly wanted at a great price. I really appreciate having options which local vendors could not provide.

I am a little confused. Lots of negative reviews. However I guess I am the exception to the rule. I do not consider myself smarter than anyone else. I am just a unemployed factory worker whose unemployment ran out and am without a job. Zero income, hope I can find a job soon...anyways...I have used Nero for years. Mostly Nero 7. Then my computer blew and my sainted married son bought his father a computer for Christmas with Vista in it...wonderful. I knew Nero 7 would not work in it as i have passed the 220-701 exam for Microsoft. And I had heard Nero 7 would not work in Vista. So I bought Nero 9. 10 minute install. Period. No problems would have liked more templates but beggars can't be choosy. It runs like a champ. Burns, copys, all in record time. I am about to buy another copy of Nero 9 because a friend gave me 5 computers (He works at a transfer station) and I know one license one computer for Nero+. Out of these computers I managed to build one that works. 14 usb ports, 128 on the video, a measly 106GB on the hard drive. It has camera card ports, I blew all the dust off the chassis and I am replacing my Vista Beastly Machine with this good old XP.It has 1.5 gig in it, (it has room for 2) From the ashes of yesterday rises a machine that runs. (Sorry Josh, I want XP back!) So take the good with the bad I love Nero!

Comment: Absolutely do not understand all the bad reviews Nero 9 has received. I just downloaded the copy of this software that I received today. The download took about 15 minutes and was flawless. Don't know what those reviewers who have bad-mouthed this product are complaining about. Nero9 is every bit as good as previous editions of Nero that I have had (Nero 7, Nero 8)and in fact is much faster. Very happy I purchased this product.
