Customer Rating: Summary: Beautiful TV Comment: We got this TV after a Wii-mote got hurled into our 3 year old Sharp Aquos LCD. We debated a lot between plasma and LCD for this new purchase (I like the depth and richness of plasma, my boyfriend likes LCD), as well as between the 550 and the 650 Samsung versions. We ultimately ended up going for the 650 because of the 120hz technology, the super rich color (which I thought rivaled that of the Samsung plasmas), and the stylish red color frame.
The picture is fantastic, after having fiddling with it for a while. We turn off the 120hz feature for TV watching because it makes the picture look like video, kind of flat, but turn it on for gaming, and also change the color settings for gaming and movie watching as well, and it looks amazing. The sound is ok (we have it going to surround, so rarely use just the TV sound), and it looks great, very sleek, with only a very subtle hint of red.
The placement of the ports could also be a bit better, there is no standard composite video on the back, just the side, unless you take up one of the two component ports with composite.
Overall, however, we love it, and would highly recommended it.

Customer Rating: Summary: Is it worth the money? Comment: My husband really wanted this TV and I loved the "touch of red" so we have had it for four days now. After playing on the PS3, watching a blueray movie, and watching HD TV shows, I have a few complaints. First, the remote is completely awful! My old Olevia had a really user-friendly remote, but with the Samsung, you get a pop-up menu that takes a while to scroll through even if you just want to adjust the brightness. It covers the entire screen so you have to pause your show while you make the smallest adjustments, and if you are a color freak like me you are constantly tweaking the colors for each show and getting terribly annoyed at the poor layout design of the Samsung.
Secondly, the audio is not in sync with our surround sound so we either hear a very disturbing echo or else we have to turn the TV sound completely off. This also was not a problem with our prior TV.
Thirdly, I have noticed quite a lot of banding on dark scenes and also some blockiness/pixelation on scenes with a lot of motion. This is the problem that has me wondering if we should return this TV ASAP! I certainly would not expect such poor quality from such an expensive TV!
Customer Rating: Summary: Samsung is the best. Comment: The picture quality is beautiful. Colors are true to life, and the menu is so simple to use if anything has to be changed or adjusted.
The price was reasonable also.
Customer Rating: Summary: Most amazing tv I have ever seen Comment: This TV is just flat out amazing! I had looked at this one as well as the 46a750 and the 46a850 in my local stores. I really couldn't see any difference in picture quality and I didn't need all the extra stuff on the later versions. Besides, there were 433 reviews on Amazon that rated it 5 star, 24 months no interest with the Amazon store card and free white glove delivery as well. Can't beat that deal !!!
