Comment: Pro: cheap for the functionalities come with it.
Cons: Mine broke after 2 usages/reboot. Basically one of files on SD card gets corrupt and cause the gps to not start up and lock up upon reboot. I can fix this problem by deleting files in the sd card but I would need my computer to do so and the frequency of the happening was too high that I couldn't stand it anymore. It basically happens every 2 reboot or so. Too bad it happened on my 1 week road trip and I wasn't able to use gps at all.
I am sure this could be isolated case but I am returning for refund. For record, I didn't order from amazon.

Summary: Big screen and good map, but that's all.
Comment: I had almost bought this one. After a trip to Boston with my friend's unit, it is clear that I won't need it forever.
Good things first: big screen and a good map (from what I saw), but that's all.
Bad things: acquire signal very slowly. At one time, we were in downtown boston, and it took nearly ten minutes to get signal. most of time, it started slowly, quite slowly.
secondly, voice prompt sounds nice and polite, but confusing sometimes. when we were driving on PA turnpike, and it kept saying "turn right" when we are not supposed to exit and there is no turn at all, this happened also when we were in a tunnel of Boston.
There is no battery and I would say this is the most fatal mistake. You can not use it unless your car is running. I have a habit to turn off engine when I don't use the car, then it took another 10 minutes to restart the GPS. sometime, we set up the GPS when engine is at accessory position, then I turned on engine and GPS was power off.
recalculation is slow. After I missed a turn, it kept prompting for previous route until a few turns, and it was too late.
I own an iGuidance gps on my windows mobile phone. it is by far much better than Plenio unit.

Summary: An Excellent Product!
Comment: I honestly do not know how this GPS could receive so many negative reviews! My husband and I bought the Plenio (we call it Plee Plee :) ) in January of 08. We used it constantly and traveled from Washington State to North Carolina using it.
It is not perfect. It will not do your dishes, change dirty diapers or fill up your tank, but for finding where you need to go without printing off directions from mapquest its wonderful. It has big "buttons" on the touch screen, a video option for the kids, games, and accurate directions. We never had any problems.
Our Plenio was stolen out of our car in September and I fully intend to by the same one as a replacement.
Bottom line: If you want a GPS that will do your daily chores and find you your soul mate....this isn't it. But if you want a GPS that will get you where you are going, you can't find a better one.

Summary: Plenio VXA-3000
Comment: The gal friend and I bought two of these units, a couple of months ago... They are working far better than we expected, because of a couple of negative reviews.. Love all the "extra" features... It will play a full length movie, if you will use a separate 2 gig SD card, convert to 320X240 AVI format.. Slideshow(different from photos) is a little pricky.. The photos MUST be 480X234 format and started from the MAIN menu.. Strange, but works well... Remote Video input works fine, too.. Gal friend can watch her horses in the trailer, with the addition of a remote camera.. Oh yes, it does GPS, also... Two voices... The year old maps and POI are just fine.. Really, how often do the maps change?.. Before GPS, I used 10 year old maps from somewhere stuffed in the glove compartment... Hmmm, I wonder what that USB plug on the side of the unit is for???

Summary: Great GPS for the price
Comment: This works Great for the price and free shipping($130 at buy dot com). I have had no problems with it. Was easy to use right out of the box. I did NOT even have to use the directions to get started. Screen is easy to read and see at even a quick glance. I did look at the disc that came with it after I had used it,just to see what other things that I could do that I may have missed. Over all very easy to use would recommend to anyone.
